The 12th ISHPMIE will be hosted by Fike Corporation, located in Blue Springs, MO, USA. The symposium provides a valuable opportunity for scientists, researchers, engineers, and industrial explosion hazards specialists to meet and exchange ideas and technologies for controlling accidental explosion hazards.
The International Symposium on Hazards, Prevention, and Mitigation of Industrial Explosions (ISHPMIE) was started from the first symposium in Bergen, Norway (1996). It was established by incorporating the Seventh International Colloquium on Dust Explosions and the Second Colloquium on Gas, Vapor, Liquid, Hybrid and Fuel-Air Explosions. The symposium continued with the second symposium in Schaumburg, USA (1998), the third in Tsukuba, Japan (2000), the fourth in Bourges, France (2002), the fifth in Cracow, Poland (2004), the sixth in Halifax, Canada (2006), the seventh in St. Petersburg, Russia (2008), the eighth in Yokohama Japan (2010), the ninth in Cracow, Poland (2012), the tenth in Bergen, Norway (2014) and the eleventh in Dalian, China (2016).

The 12th ISHPMIE is aimed at providing valuable opportunity, in which scientists on explosion phenomena and specialists on industrial explosion hazards can meet together and exchange their ideas and information. The presentations will cover a range of industrial explosions-relevant fundamental studies including experimental and modeling development, prevention and mitigation strategies and investigations of actual accidents.
At least one of the authors must register in order to attend and present on the symposium for your paper(s) to be included in the symposium proceedings. The local organizing committee strongly recommends that you register before 25 March, 2018 for early registration. Click on the Register Now button throughout the web-site; you will need to indicate your status and fee type so the local organizing committee can check your payment conveniently. Payments for the symposium event fee should be transferred in U.S. dollars to the following bank account at the same time as registration:

The symposium will be held at The Westin, Crown Center which is in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. A discounted rate of $153.00 USD will be available from Sunday, August 12 to Friday, August 17. If you wish to extend your stay, the reduced rate will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the event date (subject to availability). Early booking is recommended.
